Dr.Abdul Razzak Rumane

Dr. Rumane believes in the following philosophies:

3) Your mission will be incomplete unless you share the grievances of others.
4) When you think of yourself, give a little thought about how you could improve the conditions of other humankind and in particular the less privileged people.

Dr.Abdul Razzak Rumane is an Electrical Engineer, Consultant, Born 1948 at Chandve, a small village in Maharashtra -India. Son of Abdul Rehman Hasanmiya and Rabia ,Rumane did Schooling at zilla parishad , Chandve and SSC at Fajandar High School, Vahoor.

After his Inter science at Bombay University, he joined Government College of Engineering at Aurangabad and obtained Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from Marathwada University-India . He had obtained Diploma in Modern Management from British Career Training College and Diploma in International Trade from British Management Association.

With various short-term courses in his credit he has completed Master OF Science in General Engineering from Kennedy- Western University (USA) in 2002. The topic of thesis was “A Systems Engineering Approach to Construction Projects. ” He completed his PhD in 2005 with dissertation topic “Quality Engineering Applications to Construction Projects.”

Dr. Rumane’s career started as a Trainee Engineer with Electro Sales Corp. in the year 1972, since then he worked as Assistant Officer with Ruttonsha Electronics Pvt. Ltd, Assistant Engineer with Mandovi Pellets Ltd, Staff Engineer with Crompton Greaves Ltd, Officer with Dynacraft Machine Co. Ltd, and Engineer/Officer with Toyo Engineering India Ltd.

From here he moved to Middle East and started working with Mansour Al Subaie Est. Kuwait. as Electrical Engineer, then as Electrical Engineer with Abdallah Al Otaibi Est. Kuwait (1984-86).

He then joined Jassim Shaban & Sons co. as Electrical Engineer till invasion of Kuwait in August 1990 which forced him to repatriate to India.

Again in 1991 he moved back to Middle East and joined with Al Othman Center for Architectural and Engineering Design at Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia as Electrical Engineer. In the later part of 1991,he took an assignment as Senior Electrical Engineer with Pan Arab Consulting Engineers Bahrain/Kuwait and worked till 1999.

From this position he joined Dar Al Handasah (Shair and Partners) Kuwait, in 1999 as Senior Electrical Engineer to supervise one of the prestigious projects and worked with them till March 2004.

Presently he is working as Senior Electrical Engineer, Consultant with Pan Arab Consulting Engineers, Kuwait. He has worked in various fields of Engineering such as production, planning, procurement, vendor development, quality control, materials management, equipment inspection and electrical contracting.

Well experienced in design, supervision, design management, and construction management of Electrical related Services, Fire Alarm System, Telephone System, Communication System, Public Address System, Audio Visual System, MATV, Security System, CCTV System, Emergency Generating System and Conveying System. Well versed in preparation of contract specifications, documents, BOQ, and evaluation of tender bids.

Assessment and evaluating the functioning of existing systems and preparation of technical report for rehabilitation works. Familiar with various national and international codes, regulations, quality standards and their implementation.

Articles published in various professional journals/newsletters. During the career has ensured that all the works were executed as per specification requirements and meet the quality standards of Various National / International codes and standards.

He is Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India), Honorary fellowship of Chartered Management Association (H.K.) Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (USA), Member of Kuwait Society of Engineers, Senior Members of American Society for Quality, Member of SAVE International ( The Value Society), Associate Member of American Society of Civil Engineers, Registered with MEW (Kuwait) as First Class Supervisor, Member of London Diplomatic Academy, Member board of governors of International Benevolent Research Forum, with honorary position as vice governor, and Member of Frontliners Association (a service organisation registered with Embassy of India, Kuwait) and various welfare societies.

He is Continental Governor of American Biographical Institute and Life Patron of International Biographical Association. His biography is listed by various International Biographical Publishers in their various title books.

He has been honoured by International Biographical Centre Cambridge, U.K. with
"International Order of Merit" for services to Electrical Engineering and “Lifetime Achievement Award.” American Biographical Institute, USA, presented "Twentieth Century Achievement Award." and “American Order of Excellence.”

The Who's Who Institute, USA, presented "Global Award of Accomplishment." European Academy of Informatisation, Belgium has honoured with “The Order of Science-Education-Culture” with title of “Cavalier.” And Albert Schweitzer International University, Spain honoured him with “Albert Schweitzer Medal for Science and Peace.”

India International Friendship Society honoured him with “ Bharat Gaurav Award” and “Gem of India Award.” Albert Schweitzer Foundation honoured him with “ASIF gold medal” for his services in Electrical Engineering/ Consultancy in Construction Projects in Kuwait.

He received “Meritorious Service Medal” from The Sovereign Order of the Knights of Justice (U.K.). X-Ray magazine (India) honoured him with “X Ray Silver Jubilee Excellence Award” and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Seva Samiti and Vande Mataram Foundation felicitated him during the function held to celebrate birth centenary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

He served as honorary Treasure of The Institute of Engineers, (India), Kuwait Chapter, General Secretary, Chairman and presently he is Ex- Officio(Chairman) of IEI, Kuwait Chapter.

He is married to Noor Jehan. She is a housewife. Have Two children, one son (Ataullah) married to Ferha (Kohari) and one daughter (Farzeen). Son has completed B.E. (chemical engineering) and M.S. (computer science).
